DESCRIPTION:The Swiss State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innov
 ation (SERI) commissioned the University of Applied Sciences and Arts West
 ern Switzerland (HES-SO) as the Leading House for the Middle East and Nort
 h Africa (MENA) region. This call allows funding of approx. 26 mobility gr
 ants.\n \nPartner countries: Egypt\, Lebanon\, Morocco\, Palestine\, Qata
 r\, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates.\n \nWho can apply:\n\n	Permanen
 tly employed principal investigator at an eligible Swiss institution who i
 s either hosting a MENA-based young scientist in CH or sending a Swiss-bas
 ed scientists to a MENA country.\n\n \nFor whom:\n\n\n	BA\, MA or PhD stu
 dents (with max. 6 years of professional experience) based in a Swiss or M
 ENA institution.\n	Swiss-based young scientists must also\n	\n		Have perma
 nent residence in CH\, Swiss nationality\, cross-border commuter permit fo
 r CH\, or be in a marriage or registered partnership with a Swiss citizen.
 \n		Specific conditions apply for scientists holding the nationality of a 
 MENA country.\n	\n	\n\n \nFor what:\n\n\n	To host a MENA-based young scie
 ntists at an eligible Swiss institution.\n	To send Swiss-based young scien
 tists to a partner institution in a MENA region.\n	Activities may include 
 fieldwork and/or an internship related to the applicant’s research proje
 ct.\n	In any discipline and field of research.\n\n \nFunding & Duration: 
 max. CHF 5’000 for min. 4 weeks.\n \nEligible costs:\n\n\n	For outgoing
  scientists: flight reimbursement of max. CHF 1’000\, living allowance o
 f max. CHF 4’000 and\, if justified\, a contribution towards research an
 d conference costs.\n	For incoming scientists: living allowance (actual co
 st of max. CHF 2’500 per month). Flights must be covered by the partner 
 abroad.\n\n \nDeadline: rolling call open until 31 December 2019\nDecisio
 n: within 2 months\nLatest start: March 2020\n \nApplication:\n\n\n	Appli
