DESCRIPTION:Aim: MDA Venture Philanthropy (MVP) is the Muscular Dystrophy 
 Association's drug development program\, which operates within MDA's Trans
 lational Research program. MVP is exclusively focused on funding the disco
 very and clinical application of treatments and cures for neuromuscular di
 seases.\n \nAdapting elements of the venture capital model\, the MVP busi
 ness plan is characterized by an emphasis on measurable results along with
  deep involvement by its scientific and industry advisers. MVP evaluates a
 nd makes targeted investments in for-profit and not-for-profit companies a
 nd academics developing therapeutics for neuromuscular diseases. MVP funds
  projects from proof-of-principle studies through phase 2 trials.\n \nDur

 : max $1’000’000\n \nEligibility: Biotechnology\, pharmaceutical or o
 ther companies are eligible for MVP funding. MVP also may choose to invest
  in academic projects that fit within the mission of MDA’s translational
  research program\, whereby the project has a path toward clinical develop
 ment. Companies may be public or private\, and MVP does not discriminate b
 etween U.S. and international projects.\n \nBudget: Applicants may budget
  for salary support\, materials\, supplies\, consumables\, travel costs fo
 r scientific meetings\, and other expenses as justified. Budget and budget
