DESCRIPTION:3ie - International Initiative For Impact Evaluation\, an inte
 rnational NGO with headquarters in India\, invites organisations and conso
 rtia to submit proposals to undertake qualitative evaluations on women’s
  self-help groups (SHGs) in rural India under two research themes:\n\n	The
  impact of SHG and their federations on multi-dimensional measures of wome
 n’s empowerment\; and\n	The role of SHG federations\, such as village or
 ganisations and cluster-level federations\, in determining SHG quality and
  functioning.\n\nThese studies are expected to inform a large-scale\, rigo
 rous impact evaluation of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) pr
 ogramme that 3ie is currently undertaking.\n \nWho can apply:\n\n\n	Conso
 rtia of researchers based at a legally registered organisation anywhere in
  the world\, but including at least one researcher who is an Indian reside
 nt.\n	Researchers can submit more than one proposal and participate in mor
 e than one consortia.\n\n \nFunding: max. USD 45\,000 for up to 5 months.
 \n\n\n	Eligible costs: personnel and other direct costs\, incl. consultanc
 y\, travel\, survey costs.\n	Does NOT cover overheads\, equipment\, nor sa
 laries and implementing costs from implementing and government agencies.\n
 	Co-funding of studies already supported by other donors is permitted.\n\n
