DESCRIPTION:The Zeno Karl Schindler Foundation offers Doctoral Exchange Gr
 ants to PhD students to carry out a research stay of max. 1 year at a host
  institution (university or research institute) anywhere in the world.\nPl
 ease note that either the home institution or the host institution should 
 be based in Switzerland.\nThe ultimate aim of the grant is to encourage re
 search collaboration between two institutions.\n \nEligible fields of res
 earch:\n\n	Engineering\n	Environmental sciences (incl. bioengineering\, bu
 t not life science or biology)\n	Medieval disciplines (incl. medieval stud
 ies)\,\n	Digital humanities at the intersection of medieval disciplines an
 d computing.\n\n \nFunding: a stipend of CHF 2’500 per month to defray 
 local living expenses at the host institution + agreed economy-class retur
 n airfare/train ticket from the home to the hosting university + limited r
 esearch expenditures for the duration of the stay at the host university.\
 n \nPlease note that:\n\n	The applicant cannot receive any other source o
 f funding (incl. assistant salary) during the grant.\n	Retroactive candida
 cies are only accepted if the stay abroad isn’t finished at the time of 
 the call deadline.\n\n \nDuration: 4-12 months\n \nDeadlines: 15 March a
 nd 15 September (23:59 Swiss local time) (every year).\nApplication: submi
