DESCRIPTION:The Disease Models & Mechanisms (DMM) Conference Travel Grants
  are aimed at early career scientists wanting to attend scientific meeting
 s\, conferences\, workshops and courses relating to the areas of research
  covered by the journal around the world.\n \nWho can apply:\n\n	PhD stud
 ents and early career post-doctoral researchers (please join a support let
 ter from the head of the unit)\n	independent group leaders and\n	PIs with 
 no independent funding.\n\nApplicants who are presenting talks or displayi
 ng posters might be looked on more favourably.\n \nFunding: £400 within 
 the home country and £600 for meetings overseas.\n \nEligible costs: reg
 istration fees (excluding membership costs)\, travel\, accommodation\, oth
 er.\n \nRestrictions:\n\n\n	The date of travel must occur within six mont
 hs from the award.\n	There must be only one application per laboratory.\n	
 Applicants should not have received other funding from The Company of Biol
 ogists in the past 12 months.\n\n \nEvaluation criteria: Each application
  will be judged on the excellence of the candidate and any work being pres
 ented in a talk or poster.\n \nDeadlines:\n\n\n	15 March 2019 (for travel
  after 29 April 2019)\n	31 May 2019 (for travel after 15 July 2019)\n	30 A
 ugust 2019 (for travel after 14 October 2019)\n	29 November 2019 (for trav
