DESCRIPTION:The Tom Wahlig Foundation supports research projects on hered
 itary spastic paraplegias (HSPs). Topics to be covered may be clinical\, g
 enetic or functional in nature. The primary focus does not have to be HSP\
 , but a conceptual connection to the disease should be evident.\nProjects 
 may represent self-contained small studies\, or be intended to generate pr
 eliminary data that enable alternative subsequent funding for a larger fol
 low-up study.\n \nFunding & Duration: min. EUR 8’000\, max. EUR 17’50
 0 for max. 2 years\n \nWho can apply:\n\n	Physicians and biologists all o
 ver the world.\n	Preference to junior scientists (PhD obtained within the 
 last five years or MD obtained in the previous 8 years).\n\n \nDeadline: 
 1 December (every year)\nDecision: 1 February\nReview: anonymous experts f
 rom the field will review the proposals and select 2-3 projects to be awar
 ded. The final decision is made by the Foundation’s Board.\n \nApplicat
