DESCRIPTION:The LEO Foundation is one of Denmark’s largest commercial fo
 undations. Established in 1984\, its main objective is to ensure the long-
 term independence and success of the global\, research-based pharmaceutica
 l company LEO Pharma.\n \nLEO Foundation Open competition grants support 
 the best dermatology research projects worldwide that:\n\n	Improve the und
 erstanding of the underlying medicinal\, biological\, chemical\, or pharma
 cological mechanisms of dermatological diseases and their symptoms.\n	Addr
 ess clinical issues among people who are at risk of developing\, or have d
 eveloped\, a skin disease\, including how it impacts their quality of life
  and the societal costs involved.\n\n \nType of projects supported: inter
 national\, research collaboration\, exploratory\, non-interventional\, dis
 ease awareness\, travel/study grant or other.\n \nProjects NOT supported:
  \n\n\n	Projects involving commercial companies. \n	Projects involving com
 mercial drug testing.\n	Clinical trials and register-based studies testing
  medical compounds.\n\n \nNote:\n\n	Do NOT disclose any confidential or I
 P-related information in your application.\n	Open access mandatory for res
 ults funded by the foundation.\n\n \nWho can apply: researchers based at 
 a non-profit institution worldwide.\n \nFunding: no upper or lower limit\
 n(for an indication\, have a look at the level of funding awarded to past 
 grantees)\n\n\n	Budget must be prepared in DKK.\n	Eligible costs: salary f
 or PhD students\, other project-related costs\, 5% overhead.\n	Does NOT co
 ver: graduate students\, other salaries if funding has been secured\, meet
 ings\, courses\, passive attendance at conferences\, travel by several per
 sons from the same research unit or department.\n\n \nDeadlines: 3 Januar
