DESCRIPTION:BRIDGE is a joint programme conducted by the Swiss National Sc
 ience Foundation (SNSF) and the Commission for Technology and Innovation (
 CTI). It offers new funding opportunities at the intersection of basic res
 earch and science-based innovation\, thereby supplementing the funding act
 ivities of the two organisations.\n\nBRIDGE Discovery is aimed at experien
 ced researchers who wish to realise a technological innovation with great 
 social or economic impact. They can submit a proposal on their own or as p
 art of a consortium of up to three researchers. The project must be charac
 terised by scientific excellence and a clear vision of a future applicatio
 n.\n\nBRIDGE Discovery funds projects for up to 4 years. Grants cover the 
 salaries of project employees and research costs directly linked to the pr
 oject.\n\nAs of now\, interested researchers can submit a letter of intent
 \, which is mandatory for the submission of a full Discovery application\,
  via the mySNF platform.\nAll letters of intent must be submitted by 18 Fe
 bruary 2019.\n\nDiscovery full proposals can be submitted via the mySNF pl
 atform as of the end of February 2019. The submission deadline is 8 April 
 2019.\n\nFurther details of the schemes\, calls and requirements for the B
