 taneously breaks Lorentz invariance. Gravitational waves propagating in th
 is medium may have a speed different from the speed of light and can decay
  into fluctuations of the medium. These effects are constrained by the rec
 ent experimental observations of gravitational waves and this sets severe 
 bounds on dark energy models.
