DESCRIPTION:The State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innovation 
 (SERI) has commissioned the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) a
 s Leading House for bilateral research collaboration with partner institut
 ions in South Asia and Iran\, namely Afghanistan\, Bangladesh\, Bhutan\, I
 ndia\, Iran\, Maldives\, Nepal\, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.\n \nMobility Gra
 nts enable the young generation of scientists to take part in internationa
 l research collaboration in all disciplines\, including the social science
 s and humanities\, by:\n\n	attracting young talents to Switzerland and\n	e
 ncouraging Swiss-based researchers to enhance their careers by spending ti
 me in an academic environment abroad.\n\n \nEligibility\n\n\n	Applicants\
 n\n	\n		must be young scientists with a Master’s degree but no PhD yet.\
 n		no more than 6 years of professional research experience.\n		must hold 
 nationality of the country where their home institute is or permanent resi
 dence or cross-border commuter permit\, or be in a marriage or in a regist
 ered partnership with a citizen of the country where their home institute 
 is.\n	\n	\n	Home institutes can be:\n	\n		For incoming scientists: governm
 ent accredited\, mandated or appointed\, or public research institutes in 
 the partner countries.\n		For outgoing scientists: Swiss federal or canton
 al universities\, universities of applied sciences\, universities of teach
 ers’ education\, or public research institutions or\n	\n	\n	Host researc
 hers must be permanently employed principal investigators at a university 
 or research institute.\n\n \nDuration: 1-3 months (latest start of the vi
 sit: September 2019).\n \nFunding:\n\n\n	For outgoing scientists:\n\n	\n	
 	Host institution abroad covers local costs (living allowance).\n		ZHAW co
 vers flight\, work-related public transport\, research and local conferenc
 e costs\, if justified\, matriculation fees and\, if demanded\, social cha
 rges\, insurance\, taxes.\n	\n	\n	For incoming scientists:\n	\n		Home inst
 itution abroad covers flight.\n		ZHAW covers local costs (living allowance
 )\, work-related public transport\, research and local conference costs\, 
 if justified\, matriculation fees. The grant must be used in CH.\n	\n	\n	T
 he Grant\n	\n		Does not cover: overheads.\n		Is disbursed to Swiss-based i
 nstitutions only.\n	\n	\n\n \nDeadline: 31 March 2019 \nNote: funds are a
 lso allocated on a first come\, first serve basis.\nDecision: within 1 mon
