DESCRIPTION:Aim: The CF Foundation is the world's leader in the search for
  a cure for cystic fibrosis and is pleased to announce an upcoming new Req
 uest For Applications (RFA) for “Advancing Gene Editing Technologies and
  Tools for Cystic Fibrosis.” These awards are intended to support gene-e
 diting research in repairing or circumventing CFTR mutations in individual
 s with cystic fibrosis. To bring new technologies to the CF field\, invest
 igators without experience in CF research are encouraged to apply.\n\nThis
  RFA will provide funding opportunities for up to 3 years of funding for\n
 \n	Research Grants\,\n	Pilot and Feasibility Award\,\n	Postdoctoral Fellow
 ships\, and\n	Collaborative Research Grants.\n\n \nResearch Award\n\nUp t
 o $200\,000 per year plus 8% indirect costs for up to 3 years\n\nIndepende
 nt investigators:\n\n	Must be a M.D.\, PhD or dual\n	Must demonstrate a tr
 ack record of discovery\, investigation\, and external funding resulting i
 n long-term commitment of salary\, personnel and research resources\n	Cand
 idates who are postdoctoral fellows should apply to the Postdoctoral Fello
 wship program.\n\n \nPilot and Feasibility Award\n\nUp to $75\,000 per ye
 ar plus 8% indirect costs for up to 2 years\n\nIndependent investigators:\
 n\n	Must be a M.D.\, PhD or dual\n	Candidates who are postdoctoral fellows
  should apply to the Postdoctoral Fellowship program.\n\n\nPostdoctoral Fe
 llowship Award\n\nFirst-year fellowship: up to $63\,100\nSecond-year fello
 wship: up to $65\,450\n\n	Postdoctoral applicants engaged in or planning C
 F-related research are eligible. Preference will be given to recent gradua
 tes and those just beginning their research careers.\n	Applicants can appl
 y for this fellowship anytime during their postdoctoral period. However\, 
 funding levels are based on the year when the award is made\, not the year
  of the applicant’s fellowship.\n	Fellowships are awarded on the basis o
 f individual and institutional merit. Awards are not transferable to other
  individuals or institutions unless previously approved by the CFF Program
  Director\n\n \nCollaborative Award\n\nUp to $75\,000 per year (max $250\
 ,000) per project per year within the collaborative project plus 8% indire
