DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1903\, the Swiss Lung Association is a nationwide s
 ervice organization for the lungs and the respiratory tract. It consists o
 f 19 cantonal lung leagues coordinated by the Bern office. The Association
  does NOT support research in relation to the tobacco industry.   \n \n
 The Swiss Lung Association supports research (including ongoing projects) 
 related to lung health:\n\n	Pneumology (basic research\, experimental rese
 arch and clinical research).\n	Social medicine/science\, public health and
  health economics.\n	Epidemiology: dissemination\, causes and effects of d
 iseases in populations.\n	Air pollution control and air quality.\n	Prevent
 ion.\n\n \nWho can apply: \n\n\n	teams of independent researchers\, emplo
 yed at an institution in Switzerland.\n	you can’t apply if you already h
 ave a running grant from the Swiss Lung Association.\n\n \nFunding & Dura
 tion: \n\n\n	Max. CHF 500’000 (Type 1 projects)\; Max. CHF 250'000 (Type
  2 projects)\n	If you ask for less\, please justify your request in point 
 6 of the online application form\n	Duration: max. 48 months\n\n \nFor wha
 t: Personnel (incl. salary of the principle investigator)\, Equipment\, Co
 nsumables\, Operations Costs (i.e Travel\, Printing etc.)\, Other project-
 related expenses.\n\nDoes NOT cover: overheads\, facilities and administra
