DESCRIPTION:The Myotubular Trust was set up in the UK in 2006 to raise mon
 ey for research aimed at finding a cure and/or a treatment for any form of
  centronuclear and myotubular myopathy (congenital X-linked recessive\; co
 ngenital autosomal recessive\; autosomal dominant).\n \nThe Myotubular Tr
 ust supports proof of principle translational research projects that:\n\n	
 Are not generally funded by public or industrial funding.\n	Are NOT funded
  by another body (unless funding comes from collaborating institutions).\n
 	Ongoing projects are eligible.\n	New and emerging technologies and interv
 entional therapies are encouraged.\n	Involve preferably different medical 
 disciplines and research institutions.\n\n \nThe foundation offers the fo
 llowing funding instruments:\nProject grants\n\n\n	Who can apply: tenured 
 or tenure-track professors anywhere in the world. Research is carried out 
 by postdoctoral researchers or PHD students.\n	Duration: 24-36 months\n	Fu
 nding: no upper or lower limit (the level of funding will depend on the fo
 undation’s fund-raising). Eligible costs: personnel\, consumables\, equi
 pment\, animal costs\, travel.\n\nFellowships (non-clinical):\n\n\n	Who ca
 n apply: postdoctoral researchers or PHD students at a host institution an
 ywhere in the world.\n	Type of research funded: non-clinical\, basic resea
 rch.\n	Duration: 36-48 months\n	Funding: the fellow’s salary + max. £ 1
 0’000 p.a. for research and travel costs.\n\n \nDeadline: 15 March 2019
