DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1996\, the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation is France’
 s number one funder for research in genetic intelligence disorders conduct
 ed in France and abroad.\n \nThe foundation supports research:\n\n	On Dow
 n syndrome and other intellectual disability from genetic origin (e.g. Wil
 liams-Beuren syndrome\, fragile X syndrome\, “cri du chat” syndrome\, 
 other trisomies\, monosomies and unexplained intellectual disability). Aut
 ism not linked to these diseases is not eligible.\n	Aimed at deciphering t
 he pathophysiology of the cognitive deficits of patients\, especially thos
 e with Down syndrome (trisomy 21) and linked pathologies as well as knowle
 dge of the chromosome 21.\n	Fundamental\, translational\, epidemiological
 \, clinical research (prioritized)\, neurobiology\, and pharmacology inclu
 ding animal pharmacology\, genetic\, genomic\, iPSCs\, and neuropsychology
  techniques or data analysis.\n\n \nWho can apply:\n\n\n	researchers anyw
 here in the world.\n	holding a long term academic appointment in a hospita
 l\, university or research laboratory.\n\n \nFunding and duration: \n\n\n
 	Advanced grants (2-4 grants per call): max. EUR 80’000 for up to 24 mon
 ths for larger breakthrough projects with preliminary data.\n	Pilot or exp
 loratory grants: max. EUR 40’000 for up to 24 months for early stage exp
 eriments built on preliminary data\, or to ancillary projects to primary l
 arger projects. Clinical projects could benefit from more funding.\n\n \n
 Eligible costs: personnel costs (up to 50% of the grant)\, equipment\, mat
 erials\, 10% overhead\, administrative costs/services\, travel and meeting
 .\n \nDeadline: 5 March 2019 at 24:00\n(two calls per year in March and A
