DESCRIPTION:The European Respiratory Society (ERS) is an international org
 anisation that brings together physicians\, healthcare professionals\, sci
 entists and other experts working in respiratory medicine.\n \nThe ERS Cl
 inical Research Collaborations (CRCs) programme provides support to projec
 ts in different areas of respiratory medicine\, to build and maintain Euro
 pean multi-centre networks of researchers\, from both within and outside o
 f the Society. This multidisciplinary approach fosters a dynamic scientifi
 c community and has the ultimate aim of advancing science and clinical res
 earch in a specific disease area\, and to improve respiratory health and m
 edicine.\n \nThe topic preferred by the ERS will be announced in July 201
 9.\n \nThe CRC should decide on priority clinical questions related to wh
 ere there is an unmet medical need\, and where there is a need to gather r
 eal world evidence / data in a multi-centre research \nstudy involving pat
 ients.\n \nWho can apply: pan-European multi-centre network of principal 
 investigators aims to advance clinical and translational research within a
  specific disease area. It may also integrate non-European countries as we
 ll as non-ERS members\, representing different scientific disciplines whic
 h complement the network with multispecialty\, multidisciplinary and multi
 functional know-how and expertise. The CRC should be governed via its own 
 steering committee\, which should be composed of ERS members and any other
  non-member stakeholders.\n \nFunding & duration: max. EUR 45’000 for 3
 6 months (renewable for other 36 months)\n \nDeadline: 15 October (every 
 year)\nAfter peer reviewing\, the proposals will be considered at the next
  meeting of the Science Council.\nDecision (by the Executive Committee): e
