DESCRIPTION:The Active and Assisted Living (AAL) Programme is an ERA-NET i
 nitiative aimed to create better quality of life for older people and to s
 trengthen industrial opportunities in the field of healthy ageing technolo
 gy and innovation. AAL is co-financed until 2020 by the European Commissio
 n (through Horizon 2020) and 17 countries\, including Switzerland (via Inn
 osuisse). It supports innovative\, transnational and multi-disciplinary co
 llaborative projects via annual calls.\n\nThe 2019 call focuses on “Sust
 ainable Smart Solutions for Ageing well”.\n\n	It is open to developing I
 CT-based solutions for active leaving targeting any application area(s) wi
 thin the AAL domains\, for instance: work & training\, vitality & abilitie
 s\, leisure & culture\, information & communication\, health & care\, livi
 ng & building\, mobility & transport\, safety & security.\n	Proposals must
  demonstrate a clear route to market: 2-3 years after the project ends\, a
  finished product or service should already be available.\n	Solutions need
  to be embedded in the strategies of the participating end-user organisati
 ons\, service providers and business partners.\n\n\nWho can apply: \n\n\n	
 At least 3 organisations from 3 different countries (please check the Nati
 onal Eligibility Criteria).\n	Eligible Swiss-based applicants: Swiss-based
  companies\; End-user organisations\; Universities and Universities of app
 lied sciences. Please note that publicly funded research bodies are only e
 ligible for funding if the consortium includes at least one eligible Swiss
  business or Swiss end-user organisation. No reconfiguration is possible i
 f this requirement is not met. Each organization may participate in up to 
 6 project proposals per call.\n	Please contact research@epfl.ch to verify 
 your eligibility for the call.\n\n\nFunding & Duration:\n\n\n	EUR 2.5 mill
 ion for 18-36 months.\n	Maximum funding for Swiss-based applicants: CHF 80
 0’000 per project\; CHF 300’000 per organisation.\n	Funding rates for 
 Swiss-based applicants: 50% for SMEs\, end-user organisations\, universiti
 es\, universities of applied sciences\; 25% for large enterprises.\n	Eligi
 ble costs for Swiss-based applicants: salaries\, travel costs for project
