DESCRIPTION:CORNET was initiated as an ERA-NET in 2005 and was supported b
 y the European Commission’s 6th and 7th Framework Programme for Research
  and Development until 2011\, when it became a self-sustained network. COR
 NET’s aim is to increase competitiveness of SMEs by funding internationa
 l pre-competitive\, market-oriented research projects via biannual calls f
 or proposals.\n \nThe calls follow a bottom-up approach: every topic that
  supports SMEs in their innovation efforts is welcome. However\, Swiss-bas
 ed applicants can only participate in consortia focusing on energy researc
 h in various fields of energy efficiency\, renewable energies and sustaina
 ble energy use and supply: funding for applicants based in CH comes from S
 FOE.\n \nThe main types of targeted activities are:\n\n	industrial resear
 ch and development\n	applied research and development.\n\n \nWho can appl
 y: \n\n\n	At least 2 different countries or regions.\n	At least an SME org
 anisation\, association or cluster\, a researcher and an SME user committe
 e with min. 5 SMEs in each country or region.\n\n \nDuration: max. 24 mon
 ths\n \nFunding: \n\n\n	Maximum funding for Swiss-based applicants: no li
 mit.\n	Eligible costs: personnel\, overhead\, travel & subsistence\, equip
 ment\, material\, consumables\, equipment depreciation\, subcontracting co
 sts / expenditures that are not part of R&D.\n\nPlease contact carina.alle
