 \, EPFL\nAbstract The electrocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2RR) to value-add
 ed chemicals has attracted great attention in recent years as it is a prom
 ising strategy to achieve a carbon-neutral energy cycle. However\, the app
 lication of this process is hindered by lacking of efficient electrocataly
 sts. To develop highly active and selective electrocatalysts\, we have app
 lied different methods to prepare nanostructured-metal catalysts. For exam
 ple\, indium decorated copper nanowires and porous structured zinc have be
 en prepared for selective reduction of CO2 to CO\, and porous structured i
 ndium catalysts have been prepared for selective reduction of CO2 to forma
 te. Moreover\, based on our results\, mechanisms insights are also provide
 d which could inspire the develop of other nanostructured catalysts for CO
 2RR.
