DESCRIPTION:Shira Chapman\nWe investigate the effect of perturbations on h
olographic complexity using an\neternal black hole background perturbed by
shock waves\, with both the\ncomplexity=action (CA) and complexity=volume
(CV) proposals. We consider\nVaidya geometries describing a thin shell of
null fluid with arbitrary energy falling\nin from one of the boundaries o
 f a two-sided AdS-Schwarzschild spacetime. We\ndemonstrate how scrambling
and chaos are imprinted in the complexity of\nformation and in the full ti
me evolution of complexity via the switchback effect for\nlight shocks\, a
s well as analogous properties for heavy ones.
