DESCRIPTION:The Society of Natural Sciences of the Canton of Vaud (Sociét
 é vaudoise des Sciences naturelles - SVSN) was founded in 1819 to support
  the study\, advancement and diffusion of the natural sciences\, exact sci
 ences and other related sciences.\n \nTo celebrate its 200th anniversary\
 , the SVSN\, in partnership with Société Académique Vaudoise (SAV)\, of
 fers 1 grant (Bourse du 200ème) to a young researcher in the Canton Vaud 
 for a 1-year research project in any SVSN disciplines: mathematics\, chemi
 stry\, physics\, zoology\, botany\, earth sciences\, methodology and histo
 ry of sciences.\n \nBoth basic and applied research is supported. Only ne
 w projects are eligible for funding (e.g. the grant cannot be used to fini
 sh a thesis or a project). The project should preferably be linked to the 
 Vaud territory.\n \nWho can apply:\n\n	PhD students and PostDocs at EPFL\
 , UNIL or HES.\n	Applications can be submitted by more than one applicant.
 \n\n \nFunding & Duration: CHF 30’000 for 12 months (January-December 2
 020)\nEligible costs: allowance (max. CHF 15’000)\, materials and consum
 ables\, travel expenses\, fieldwork and analysis work. Does NOT cover pers
 onnel\, conference costs\, overheads.\n \nDeadline: 2 September 2019 at 2
