DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Parkinson’s R
 esearch Program (PRCRP) for 2019. The Early Investigator Research Award su
 pports Parkinson’s disease-focused research opportunities for individual
 s in the early stages of their careers\, under the guidance of a designate
 d Mentor.\n \nTo be considered for funding\, applications for the FY19 PR
 P Early Investigator Research Award must address at least one of the FY19 
 PRP Focus Areas:\n\n	Clinical and research application of digital health t
 echnology for Parkinson’s disease monitoring including early identificat
 ion\n	Mechanisms of non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease from basic
  biology to clinical application\n	Sleep biology in Parkinson’s disease\
 n	Quantifiable gene - environment interactions and the risk of Parkinson
 ’s disease\n\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $ 360’000\n \nDuration: 2 year
 s\n \nEligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institu
 tions are eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. T
 he investigator must be a postdoctoral or clinical fellow\, instructor\, o
 r assistant professor within 10 years of advanced degree or residency trai
 ning completion (or equivalent) as of the application deadline.\n \nHow t
 o Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They s
 hould contain contact information\, a list of collaborators and key person
 nel\, a letter of intent\, letters of recommendation\, and supporting docu
 ments as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will
