DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Lunch Cancer Re
 search Program (LCRP) for 2019. The Translational Research Partnership Awa
 rd supports partnerships between clinicians and research scientists that w
 ill accelerate the movement of promising ideas in lung cancer into clinica
 l applications. One partner in the collaboration is strongly encouraged to
  be an active duty Service member or Federal employee from a Department of
  Defense (DoD) military treatment facility or laboratory\, or a Department
  of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical center or research laboratory.\n \nObse
 rvations that drive a research idea may be derived from a laboratory disco
 very\, population- based studies\, or a clinician’s firsthand knowledge 
 of patients and anecdotal data. The ultimate goal of translational researc
 h is to move a concept or observation forward into clinical application.\n
  \nThe LCRP seeks to support research that is relevant to the healthcare 
 needs of military Service members\, Veterans\, and their families. Militar
 y relevance will be considered in determining relevance to the mission of 
 the FY19 LCRP during programmatic review.\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $ 900
 ’000\n \nDuration: 3 years\n \nEligibility: Applicants from internatio
 nal organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there are no
  citizenship restrictions. Investigators at the level of Assistant Profess
 or or above are eligible to submit applications.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-ap

 ontact information\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, a proposa
 l narrative\, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full
