DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed C
 ancer Research Program (PRCRP) for 2019. The Career Development Award supp
 orts independent\, early-career investigators to conduct impactful researc
 h with the guidance of an experienced cancer researcher (i.e.\, the Career
  Guide). This award supports impactful research projects with an emphasis 
 on discovery. Preliminary data are not required. However\, logical reasoni
 ng and a sound scientific rationale for the proposed research must be demo
 nstrated.\n \nTo be considered for funding\, applications for the FY19 PR
 CRP Career Development Award must address at least one of the FY19 PRCRP T
 opic Areas as directed by Congress. In addition\, applications must also a
 ddress at least one of the FY19 PRCRP Military Relevance Focus Areas. Thes
 e lists are given at the end of this announcement.\n \nFunding: Maximum U
 SD $ 360’000\n \nDuration: 3 years\n \nEligibility: Applicants from in
 ternational organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and ther
 e are no citizenship restrictions. Investigators at or above the level of 
 Assistant Professor who are £ 10 years past their terminal degree are eli
 gible to submit applications. The Career Guide must hold a position at or 
 above the level of Associate Professor.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-application

 formation\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, a letter of intent
