DESCRIPTION:The Swedish foundation Promobilia Stiftelsen was founded in 19
 65 by doctor Per Uddén (1925-2002) to raise money to build better wheelch
 airs (Permobil AB) than those available at the time for people with disabi
 lities\, thus improving their quality of life.  \n \nIt supports:\n\n	r
 esearch and development of technical aids so that disabled persons could b
 enefit of a more active life. The foundation’s support aims also at ensu
 ring that these products get into production and reach those in need.\n	to
  improve the understanding of reading and writing difficulties.\n	around d
 iseases that could lead to severe motion problems.\n\nResults should be us
 eful to a larger group and be disseminated through any form of open public
 ation.\n \nWho can apply: \n\n\n	Applicants at a recognized university or
  equivalent\, high school\, hospital or other\, anywhere in the world.\n	P
 rivate persons and industrial projects are not eligible.\n\n \nFunding & 
 Duration: \n\n\n	Between SEK 100’000 and 500’000 (about USD 10’000
  – 100’000) for up to 24 months.\n	Eligible costs: personnel\, equip
 ment\, material\, other project-related costs\, including subcontracting\,
  and 20% overheads.\n	Matching funds are encouraged.\n\n \nNext deadline:
  10 October 2019 (2 deadlines per year in March and October)\n\n\n	Sign an
 d submit your application at least 7 working days prior to the deadline to
  research@epfl.ch to request the institutional signature of the applicatio
 n form (p.7).\n	Applications must also be submitted by regular mail (see i
 nstructions for applicants outside Sweden).\n	For non-independent PIs: the
  application form must be signed (p.7) also by the head of the unit.\n	Eth
