Program (ARP) for 2019. The Clinical Translational Research Award support
s early-phase\, proof-of-principle translational studies that will examine
hypothesis-based\, innovative interventions that have the potential to ad

his award are anticipated to provide scientific rationale for subsequent d
evelopment of larger\, efficacy-based clinical trials of interventions tha

human subjects. Projects that are strictly animal research aimed at develo
ping or refining new technology and research to establish the efficacy/eff
ectiveness of diagnostic agents are not allowed under this funding opportu
nity. The proposed studies should include early-phase\, proof-of-principle
studies using human subjects. The proposed studies may be interventional\
, including Phase 0 clinical trials or single-group intervention studies\,
and may involve some retrospective data analysis\; however\, purely retro
spective or database-related research is not allowed.\n \nApplications ar
