DESCRIPTION:The State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innovation 
 (SERI) has commissioned the University of St. Gallen (UNISG) as Leading Ho
 use for bilateral research collaboration with Latin American institutions 
 for the period 2017-2020.\n \nUNISG is pleased to announce the launch of 
 the 2019 Seed Money Grants call. The goal of the Seed Money Grants is to s
 trengthen or initiate scientific exchange between researchers from Swiss a
 nd Latin American institutions in all disciplines by enabling them to join
 tly undertake preliminary research and organize meetings\, conferences\, o
 r workshops.\n \nSeed Money Grants are particularly useful to develop joi
 nt project proposals to be submitted to large funding agencies or to combi
 ne already existing and independently funded projects. Priority is given t
 o researchers/projects without previous funding\, e.g. SNF or Leading Hous
 e Grants.\n \nThe call is open to mono- or interdisciplinary research pro
 jects in any disciplines involving bilateral or multilateral partnerships 
 between Swiss and Latin American institutions.\n \nWho can apply:\n\n	Eac
 h application must have one PI based in a Swiss institution and one in a L
 atin American institution.\n	PIs must hold a faculty or a scientist positi
 on at an accredited university or public research institute or hold a PhD 
 + several years of research experience.\n	Applications that include Master
  and PhD students must be submitted by their supervisors.\n	The Swiss-base
 d PI is responsible for the submission of the application and\, if success
 ful\, for the management of the grant.\n\n \nFunding & Duration: between 
 CHF 10’000 and CHF 25’000 for 12 months.\n\n\n	Eligible costs: project
 -related costs\, travel\, workshops\, conferences\, consumables\, accommod
 ations and fieldwork.\n	Does NOT cover: personnel costs\, tuition fees\, o
 utsourced services\, hardware and overheads.\n	Financial contributions fro
 m each side of the partnership are expected.\n\n \nDeadline: 16 June 2019
 \nDecision: 31 October 2019\nGrant Agreement: November 2019\nStart of the 
 project: between 1 December 2019 and 29 February 2020.\n \nFor more infor
