 lt or impossible to employ in the past. One growing concern in the scienti
 fic community is the degree of image processing that is acceptable. This s
 eminar will outline pitfalls in image processing and display for image-bas
 ed technologies as well as for scientific publications. More specifically 
 we will explain and demonstrate which kind of image processing steps can b
 e considered as acceptable and which must be considered as problematic or 
 even as fraud.
