DESCRIPTION:EIT Food would like to bring a new Call to your attention from
  the STOP consortium. STOP is a Horizon 2020 funded project with the objec
 tive to “generate scientifically sound\, novel and policy-relevant evide
 nce on the factors that have contributed to the spread of childhood obesit
 y in European countries”. (More information on STOP can be found on its 
 webpage http://www.stopchildobesity.eu/.) \n \n\nThe STOP Consortium\, 
 in collaboration with EIT Health and EIT Food\, has launched a call for in
 dustry-led projects aimed at developing innovations that have the potentia
 l to curb childhood obesity in Europe\, either by making critical improvem
 ents in the food environments faced by children and their families\, or by
  increasing children’s fitness and physical activity.\nAs part of this c
 all\, the STOP Consortium will make available €600\,000 to fund up to fo
 ur projects aimed at developing innovations at technology readiness level 
 4 or 5. In addition to the funding\, successful applicants will benefit fr
 om in-kind support and opportunities provided by members of the STOP Conso
 rtium and wider partnership\, to help them succeed in their projects\, inc
 luding the following:\n\n	Access to scientific support in a wide range of 
 disciplines potentially available from STOP research partners\, including\
 , but not limited to\, nutrition and food sciences\, biomarkers\, behaviou
 ral sciences\, physical and health education\, marketing\, statistics and 
 econometrics.\n	Access to the EIT Health and EIT Food accelerator ecosyste
 ms\, providing the support\, skills and services that companies need to ge
 t their ideas off the ground and into the market. This includes access to 
 living labs/ test beds\, market coaches\, and investment advice\, where ap
 propriate.\n\n\nProjects will have a duration of up to 18 months\, typical
 ly with one year devoted to the development of the innovative solution and
  the remainder of the time to a lab-based or real-setting pilot evaluation
  of its effectiveness based on measurable and relevant indicators. Solutio
 ns must have the potential to be scaled up and adopted widely. The STOP co
 nsortium will evaluate independently the solutions proposed after the proj
 ects are completed.\n\n\nTimeline for projects\n\n\n	Submission deadline: 
 23 May 2019\n	Project implementation starts 1 September 2019\n	Project eva
 luation (STOP consortium) starts 1 March 2021\n\n \nIn case you are inter
