DESCRIPTION:Dr. J.A. Romero\, CIEMAT\, Madrid\, Spain\nTo improve the low
frequency spectrum of magnetic field measurements of future tokamak react
ors such as ITER\, several steady state magnetic sensor technologies are b
eing considered. For all the studied technologies is always advantageous t
o place the sensors as far away from the reactor core to minimize radiatio
n damage and temperature effects\, but not so far as to compromise the acc
uracy of the equilibrium reconstruction.  Using the TCV equilibria databa
se \, we have studied to what extent increasing the distance between senso
rs and plasma can be compensated by sensor accuracy before the limit impos
ed by the degeneracy of the problem is reached. The preliminary results of
  this study will be presented
