DESCRIPTION:The SNSF programme Scientific Exchanges is aimed at researcher
 s who want to:\n\n	host their own scientific conference\,  workshop or me
 eting in  Switzerland (scientific event).\n	invite their colleagues from a
 broad for a research visit to Switzerland or visit their colleagues in ano
 ther country (scientific event).\n\n \nWho can apply: only 1 applicant\n\
 n\n	employed by a Swiss research institution for the duration of the grant
 .\n	work-time percentage may lie under 50%\, but should not be lower than 
 20%.\n	For Scientific events only: PhD is NOT required.\n	For Scientific v
 isits only: at least 4 years after PhD/MD\; in a position to carry out res
 earch projects under her/his own responsibility and to lead project staff 
 both scientifically and as personnel.\n	No more than two parallel applicat
 ions and/or Scientific Exchange grants may be submitted or ongoing per cal
 endar year. Applicants can apply to both a Scientific event and a Scientif
 ic visit in the same application.\n\n \nFunding:\n\n\n	Between CHF 2’50
 0 and CHF 25’000.\n	Max. CHF 50’000 only if you apply for both types o
 f grants in the same application.\n\n \nEligible costs for scientific eve
 nts:\n\n\n	Travel expenses\, food and board costs of participants from abr
 oad provided they make a contribution (talk\, poster\, moderation\, superv
 ision of workshop\, etc.). No more than 1-2 persons per half a day of the 
 event.\n	New! Replacements of SNSF-funded participants/keynote speakers mu
 st be communicated to the SNSF before the start of the event. Otherwise\, 
 their costs will not be eligible.\n	You can now ask for child care costs* 
 (up to CHF 200 per day) for room\, board and travel costs for children* ac
 companying SNSF-funded participants/keynote speakers during the scientific
  event.\n\n \nEligible costs for scientific visits:\n\n\n	travel (actual 
 costs) and living costs (flat rate\n	You can now ask for child care costs*
  (up to CHF 1’000 per month) for room\, board and travel costs for child
 ren accompanying the visitor.\n\n \n*Child care costs can be requested on
 ly for children up to the 4th year of primary school (see Annex 4 of the f
 lexibility grants regulations\, footnote at page 2).\n \nDuration:\n\n\n	
 For Scientific events: 3 months (the duration of the actual scientific eve
 nt must be between 1 and 5 days. However\, the duration of the grant must 
 be 3 months\, with the starting date set on the first day of the month pre
 ceding the event and the end date on the last day of the month following t
 he event).\n	For Scientific visits: 1-6 months.\n\n \nRolling call: apply
  at least 4 months before the start of the event or visit.\nDecision after
  usually 2-2.5 months\n \nFor further information\, please have a look at
