DESCRIPTION:Aim: : Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research P
 rogram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Reconstructiv
 e Transplant Research Program (RTRP) for 2019. The Idea Discovery Award is
  intended to support innovative\, untested\, high-risk/ potentially high-r
 eward concepts\, theories\, paradigms\, and/or methods relevant to reconst
 ructive transplant. The outcome of research supported by this award should
  be the generation of robust data that can be used as a foundation for new
  avenues of scientific investigation.\n \nTo meet the intent of the FY19 
 RTRP Idea Discovery Award mechanism\, applicants must address at least one
  of the FY19 RTRP Focus Areas listed at the end of this announcement. Beca
 use the Idea Discovery Award is designed for preliminary investigations\, 
 projects involving human subjects or anatomical substances will not be sup
 ported.\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $ 500’000\n \nDuration: 2 years\n \n
 Eligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions a
 re eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Investig
 ators at or above the level of postdoctoral fellow (or equivalent) are eli
 gible to be named as the PI on an application.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-appl
 ications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain con
 tact information\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, a prepropos
 al narrative\, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full
  applications (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Ful
