DESCRIPTION:Prof. Laloui\, Mme Peltier\, M. Zannin.\nMeet us on the 17th o
f June starting 3 P.M. for an event jointly organized with the Centre des
Recherches Energétiques et Municipales (CREM)\, where the laboratory of s
oil mechanics (LMS) will get the chance to present a feedback of their mat
ure experience concerning energy piles.\n\nThe soil mechanics laboratory\,
a world pioneer of energy geo-structures\, has considerably contributed o
ver the last twenty years to the development of this technique. Throughout
all the years of research\, the LMS team has not only provided vital answ
ers to many problematics related to this technology\, be it in the structu
ral or geotechnical domains\, but also actively contributed to its impleme
ntation. In 2018\, Prof. Lyesse Laloui received funding from the BCV Found
ation in order to further encourage the development of geo-structures and
boost its technological transfer. It is in this context that the LMS is co
llaborating with the CREM in order to inform\, share and guide the way of
practitioners with energy geo-structures.\nThe event is thus the occasion
to unveil this mature technology to the wide public\, accompanied by a div
erse panel of concrete examples realized all around Switzerland.\nA visit
of the energy prototype piles of the SwissTech Convention Center and of th
e laboratory is also scheduled for the afternoon.
