 pment and climate change. He is the recipient of the European Research Cou
 ncil (ERC) Starting Grant (2015-2019) for a project entitled Decent Livin
 g Energy -energy and emissions thresholds for providing decent living sta
 ndards for all. His research interests also include investigating income i
 nequality\, infrastructure\, and climate policy. His methods include house
 hold energy modeling\, econometrics\, input-output\, and policy analysis.\
 n\nDr. Rao is also a Senior Research Scholar at the International Institut
 e for Applied Systems Analysis and an Adjunct Fellow at the Ashoka Trust f
 or Research in Ecology and Environment in Bangalore\, India.
