DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1958 and based in Davos\, the AO Foundation is a me
 dically guided\, not-for-profit organization led by an international group
  of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the m
 usculoskeletal system.\n \nThe Foundation’s Development Incubator (AODI
 ) supports inventors with the finances and know-how they need to build and
  execute project plans towards a proof of concept in the treatment of trau
 ma and musculoskeletal disorders. AODI projects are heterogenous in terms 
 of their technology and investment readiness levels. Some have just a prot
 otype\, some already have lab results\, some have patents and some are jus
 t ideas\, but all of them have in common the prospect to bring innovative 
 patient care solutions to the market.\n \nThe area of focus for this call
  is improvement in patient care as it applies to orthopaedic trauma\, spin
 al conditions\, craniomaxillofacial surgery and veterinary surgery. Propos
 als on the following topics will be considered Out of Scope: surgical inst
 ruments\, basic research (unless it translates into product development)\,
  education and pharmaceuticals.\n \nWho can apply: no restrictions\n \nF
 unding and duration: up to USD 3 million over 5 years.\n \nDeadline: 31 O
