DESCRIPTION:The UK-based charity\, Wellcome Trust\, launches a one-off res
 earch grant to support researchers investigating the impact of vaccines on
  antibiotic use and/or antimicrobial resistance. The aim is to support an
 d inform vaccine decision-makers around the world and tackle antimicrobial
  resistance. \n\nApplicants can choose to either analyse existing AMR dat
 a related to vaccine use or collect and analyse new AMR data from an ongoi
 ng or planned vaccine study. Types of AMR data that you may want to analys
 e include (but are not limited to): antibiotic use\, drug-resistant infect
 ions\, antibiotic prescribing behavior\, antibiotic seeking behavior\, hea
 lth and economic costs. You can propose to work on vaccines that are marke
 ted or in development. The vaccines should target pathogens that are becom
 ing more difficult to treat with antibiotics and/or cause symptoms that dr
 ive antibiotic use.\n \nWho can apply:\n\n	The awards are open to individ
 uals or teams of up to 7 people from anywhere in the world.\n	Applicants m
 ust hold a PhD or equivalent and have significant postdoctoral experience.
 \n	Applicants can be based at an academic research organization\, a not-fo
 r-profit or overnment body\, and/or a private sector organisation. Teams m
 ay be based in the same or different organisations.\n	Applicants must have
  a permanent\, open-ended or long-term rolling contract\, or the guarantee
  of one\, and produce an institutional support letter. Contact research@ep
 fl.ch at least 7 days prior to the Deadline for Applications.\n\n \nFundi
 ng: \n\n\n	Small awards are up to £250\,000.\n	Large awards are £250\,00
 0 to £750\,000.\n\n \nEligible costs: personnel (excluding the applicant
 s’ salaries)\, consumables\, small equipment that are essential for this
  project\, access charges to shared equipment and facilities\, travel and 
 subsistence\, open access charges and other project-related costs. Does no
 t cover overheads and large equipment.\n \nDuration: flexible\, depending
  on the level of funding.\n \nCall timeline:\n\n\n	Deadline for Expressio
 n of Interest: as soon as possible and no later than 6 September 2019 at 1
 7:00 BST.\n	Deadline for Applications: 12 September 2019 at 17:00 BST. Sub
 mit your application to research@epfl.ch at least 7 days prior to the dead
