DESCRIPTION:Aim: The CF Foundation is pleased to announce a request for ap
 plications (RFA) to identify and support highly meritorious proposals that
  will accelerate the discovery of novel therapies for nonsense mutations.\
 n \nThis RFA covers two programs:\n \nResearch Grant :  Up to $250\,000
  per year for 2 years\nPilot and Feasibility Award :  Up to $75\,000 per 
 year for 2 years\n \nEligibility: Applicants must be independent investig
 ators\, which is defined as individuals who are out of fellowship training
  and whose institution allows them to submit applications for research fun
 ding as a Principle Investigator. They must be a M.D.\, Ph.D.\, or equival
 ent\, and must demonstrate a track record of discovery\, investigation\, a
 nd external funding resulting in long-term commitment of salary\, personne
 l and research resources.\n \nHow to Apply: Proposals are to be submitted
  on the online portal proposalCENTRAL.  First-time applicants must regist
 er to create a username and password for proposalCENTRAL and will need to 
 complete a profile online before applying. Templates and instructions may 
 be downloaded after logging on and choosing this RFA. For more information
