DESCRIPTION:The aim of the Fyssen Foundation is to “encourage all forms 
 of scientific inquiry into cognitive mechanisms\, including thought and re
 asoning\, which underlie animal and human behaviour\; their biological and
  cultural bases\, and phylogenetic and ontogenetic development”.\n \nTh
 e 2019 Fyssen International Prize will be awarded for research in ecologic
 al psychology and spatial navigation. Spatial Cognition is one of the cent
 ral characteristics of our species\, and it is expressed through human beh
 aviour at the individual\, population and inter- regional levels\, and is 
 reflected in many aspects of society and culture. The prize will be awarde
 d to a scholar who has significantly advanced our understanding of the rel
 ationship between coordinate systems and variables such as environment\, l
 anguage\, and cosmology.\n \nThis Prize is awarded to a scientist who has
  conducted distinguished research in the areas supported by the Foundation
 : Ethology\, Psychology\, Neurobiology\, Social Anthropology\, Ethnology\,
  Human Paleontology and Archaeology.\n \nPrize: EUR 100\,000\n \nRequire
 ments: The application must be submitted by a recognized scientist and inc

 s\n	Summary (four pages maximum) of the research work that justifies the a
