  Control\, University of Magdeburg\, Germany\nWe present a set-based appro
 ach for estimation  identification  and control of nonlinear systems that 
 allows direct consideration of bounded  yet unknown disturbances. In parti
 cular  we present a unified framework to rigorously classify systems prope
 rties and to provide guaranteed estimates of systems variables.  The propo
 sed framework is not limited to the use of quantitative information and re
 quirements. It can straightforwardly be expanded towards the direct use of
  qualitative information and requirements that can be casted in form of te
 mporal logic. Particular emphasis is put on applicability of the framework
  to various problems spanning from parameter estimation  fault detection  
 reachability analysis  as well as control. The applicability of the approa
 ch is shown  considering problems from systems biology and process control
 .
