DESCRIPTION:PHD FELLOWSHIPS\nThe Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) awards P
 hD fellowships to outstanding junior scientists who wish to pursue an ambi
 tious PhD project in basic biomedical research in an internationally leadi
 ng laboratory in Europe (please read What we do and do not fund).\n\n	Who 
 can apply: \n	\n		Natural scientists who have obtained their diploma\, MSc
 \, BSc\, or equivalent within 4 months from the call deadline OR physician
 s\, veterinary surgeons and pharmacists who have passed their state examin
 ations.\n		The applicant cannot have been working on his/her project for m
 ore than 6 months upon submission of the application.\n		1 applicant per l
 aboratory.\n	\n	\n	Duration: 2 years\, renewable for 1 year.\n	Eligible co
 sts: monthly stipend (EUR 3’400 per month)\, minor research-related cost
 s (EUR 150 per months)\, travel allowance (to attend one conference per ye
 ar)\, spouse and child allowance (if applicable). Does NOT cover: tuition\

 ds awards Travel Grants to junior researchers who are currently conducting
  an experimental project in basic biomedical research and wish to pursue a
  short-term research stay or attend a practical course in Europe.\n\n\n	Wh
 o can apply: \n\n	\n		PhD students or medical students pursuing an experim
 ental doctoral thesis\;\n		who are pursuing a particular research project\
 ;\n		Graduates from abroad who have applied for a PhD project.\n	\n	\n	up 
 to 3 months.\n	Eligible costs: flat rate for travel\, lodging and course f
 ees. Does NOT cover research-related costs.\n	For more information and app
