DESCRIPTION:Based in Vaduz (Liechtenstein)\, the Nuovo-Soldati research fo
 undation offers annual fellowships to young medical researchers to support
  research projects centered on cancer cells. The goal of these projects sh
 ould be to improve our understanding of carcinogenisis or to develop new t
 echniques or treatments for cancer patients.\n \nPreference will be given
  to projects that take place outside the fellows country of origin or with
 in centres of excellence with their home country.\n \nWho can apply: the 
 fellowships are open to all medically qualified candidates or medical stud
 ents at the end of their training who work in specialities such as patholo
 gy\, oncology\, radiotherapy or surgery.\n \nFunding and duration: max. E
 UR 40’000 for 12 months\, renewable for another year.\nEligible costs: t
 he funding proposed is for the candidate’s own expenses (salary\, travel
 \, fees at the host institution etc.). The aim of the Soldati Fellowships 
 is not to finance the project itself. Thus applications where the proposed
  budget is centred on the purchase of equipment\, consumables\, reagents e
 tc. will be rejected. There is however some flexibility such that applicat
 ions in which a minority of the budget is destined to these ends will be c
