DESCRIPTION:The Peter and Traudl Engelhorn Foundation was established in 1
 993 in Germany to promote young scientists in the field of life sciences. 
 The Foundation offers\, every year\, around seven junior postdoctoral fell
 owships in the field of life sciences (e.g. biochemistry\, molecular biolo
 gy\, cell biology\, biotechnology\, biochemistry\, genetics\, proteomics\,
  molecular biology\, systems biology\, microbiology\, bio-medical technolo
 gy\, biotechnology\, genetic engineering\, bioinformatics and biophysics).
   \n \nWho can apply:\n- Applicants must hold a PhD/MD\, be under 34 yea
 rs old and have done studies in the natural sciences\, pharmacy and medici
 ne with above-average results.\n- The host institution must be based in Sw
 itzerland\, Germany or Austria.\n \nEligible costs:\n\n	Postdoctoral sala
 ry (including 16% social charges) based on SNSF salary scale.\n	Does NOT c
 over overheads.\n\n \nDuration: 24 months (non-renewable)\n \nDeadline f
 or institutional support letter: 8 July (send your application to research
 @epfl.ch)\nDeadline: 15 July (every year).\nDecision: October.\nEarliest s
 tart: January\, but no later than 6 months from the decision.\n \nRestric
 tion: \n\n\n	You can submit parallel requests for funding for the same pro
 ject\, but you must inform the Foundation.\n	If you are awarded another fu
 nding (fellowship or research grant) you must inform the Foundation who wi
