 University of Tokyo\, Japan\nWe have developed a new matching method for s
 tability analysis of MHD mode with a singular layer such as tearing and in
 ternal kink modes. The new method enables us to avoid some difficulties in
 herent in the traditional matched asymptotic expansion.\n\nOne of the key 
 ingredients of our new method is the utilization of an inner region with a
  finite width.  Then we do not need to take care of the singular nature o
 f the problem and can avoid the difficultes.\n\nThe other one is an orderi
 ng scheme in the outer region.  This enables us to include higher-order e
 ffects such as resistivity and inertia there.  We have shown that this in
 clusion is crucially importnat for internal kink modes.\n\nRecently we hav
 e extended this method to include finite Larmor radius (FLR) effect.  In 
 the seminar\, I will explain how to construct the ordering scheme in the o
 uter region including FLR effect\, and will show numerical results which d
 emonstrate success of the method.
