 assistants and post-docs targets the development of skills to maximize stu
 dent learning.\n\nBy focusing on EXPLAINING\, this workshop will develop y
 our ability to:\n\n	Structure a lesson that is consistent with the learnin
 g intentions\n	Be confident in your ability to explain complex ideas clear
 ly.\n	Encourage participation and respond to student questions.\n	Prepare 
 the lesson supports adequate to your teaching scenario (black/ white board
 \, slides\, simulations\, etc.)\n\nOrganized through “hands-on” activi
 ties based on science content\, this workshop allows you to practice and g
 et feedback on evidence-informed teaching skills rather than just hearing 
 about them.\n\nNote: This workshop is independent but complementary to the
  other 3 in the series. You are welcome to attend as many as you like\, in
  any order you like.
