DESCRIPTION:Gebert Rüf Stiftung (GRS) was established in 1998 by entrepre
 neur Heinrich Gebert\, founder of the company Geberit\, as a science and i
 nnovation foundation. Its objective is to promote «Switzerland as a top l
 ocation for business and as a place to live». As a private funding agency
  guided by its mission statement «making science effective»\, it support
 s entrepreneurial projects which are committed to achieving an impact.\n 
 \nWith an annual budget of CHF 2 M\, GRS\, with its programme Microbials\,
  supports interdisciplinary\, cross-institutional\, impact-oriented\, inno
 vative and applied projects\, dealing with the direct use of modified or d
 omesticated microbial resources in health and technology.\nFocus: applicat
 ions in human and veterinary medicine\, the environment\, energy productio
 n\, water treatment\, food science and other areas.\nGRS does NOT provide 
 merely additional (residual) financing of large initiatives.\n \nWho can 
 apply: personnel employed at a Swiss university\, federal institute of tec
 hnology\, research institutions affiliated with Swiss universities or at a

 ration: Max. CHF 300’000 for 24-36 months\n\n	Eligible costs: Salaries a
