 how that a High NA confocal imaging polarimeter can measure changes in the
  polarisation occurring within metallic nanoparticles and magnetic nanostr
 uctures. The sharp variations in the polarisation measured were of one ord
 er of magnitude lower than the optical resolution in the system. I will al
 so address relevant work such as vectorial beam shaping\, localised surfac
 e plasmons\, polarisation multiplexing in optical data storage\, and parti
 cle sizing.
