DESCRIPTION:The Holcim Stiftung offers grants to outstanding young scienti
 sts to carry out excellent research (fundamental\, applied\, PoC and/or ma
 rket-oriented) and scientific teaching in any discipline and field in Swit
 zerland in view of acquiring a lecturer grade qualification or similar.\n
  \nNote: grants are NOT awarded to projects solely for the pursuit of tra
 ining in a new area (as opposed to further training in a field already est
 ablished as a specialism of the candidate).\n \nPriority is given to proj
 ects:\n\n	with a positive social impact\,\n	exploring innovative methods\,
  new perspectives or novel lines of questioning crucial to the advancement
  of science\,\n	already underway.\n\n \nWho can apply (all must apply): \
 n\n\n	Advanced postdoctoral researchers or PATT at the beginning of their 
 tenure\, who aspire to a lecturer grade qualification or similar.\n	Under 
 35 years old (a 2-year flexibility is accepted only in exceptional justifi
 ed cases).\n	Who aspire to a professorship.\n	With several publications.\n
 	Over 20% of the time dedicated to the research project.\n	Based in Switze
 rland.\n\n \nFunding & Duration: no upper or lower limit\n\n\n	Eligible c
 osts: the applicant’s salary and social charges based on SNSF salary sca
 le (usually between CHF 90’000 and 120’000 p.a.).\n	Does NOT cover: pu
 blications\, materials\, personnel\, infrastructure\, Participation in con
 ferences\, symposia and overhead.\n	Duration: usually between 24-36 months
 .\n\n \nRestrictions: \n\n\n	Grants are NOT awarded for:\n	\n		Early post
 doctoral fellowships.\n		Studies in Switzerland or abroad\, within or outs
 ide the applicant’s field of research.\n		Dissertations.\n	\n	\n	You can
  submit parallel requests for funding for your salary\, but you must infor
 m the Foundation at the proposal stage (online application form) and if yo
 u receive other positive decisions.\n\n \nDeadlines: 30 April and 31 Octo
 ber (every year)\nApplication:\n\n	Note: the Foundation does NOT accept in
 formal requests.\n	Apply via the online application form\, joining your CV
 \, publications\, diploma\, 2 letters of recommendations\, among others.\n
 \nDecision: within 1 month by the Board of Trustees\nNote: The Foundation
 ’s annual budget is CHF 500’000 (only 4-5 stipends are awarded per yea
