DESCRIPTION:Prof GUANGYU ZHANG\, Institute of Physics\, Chinese Academy of
Sciences\, China\nMonolayer 2D crystals are subjected to surrounding envi
ronment since almost all atoms are on their surface. Thus interface plays
an important role in 2D crystals and their hybrid structures. "Interface i
s the devipropertiesce."\, this saying has been better supported from the
2D reseach field. In this talk\, I introduce some recent progress on inter
face modulated 2D structures achieved in my group. I will show i) the use
of certain substrate to achieve epitaxy for 2D momolayers\; ii) substrate-
induced moire pattern in graphene and the modulation of its band structure
and transport properties\; iii) twist-angle modulated transport in MoS2/G
 raphene heterostructures.
