  networking Apéro.\n\nAs a scientific institution at the forefront of bre
 ak-through science\, EPFL plays a critical role in addressing the grand so
 cietal challenges of our time. Today’s problems require interdisciplinar
 y expertise and technology to scale disruptive solutions – criteria that
  are at the heart of a technological university like EPFL.\nAs one of the 
 two Federal Institutes of Technologies in Switzerland we have a unique opp
 ortunity to develop deep technologies that address the grand societal chal
 lenges of our time.\n\nPitches & Cheese will present EPFL start-ups\, whic
 h provide innovative deep tech solutions that have the potential to addres
 s the grand societal challenges of our time. The start-up pitches are foll
 owed by an expert roundtable discussion and we will conclude the event wit
 h a traditional Swiss networking Apéro.\n\n\nAbout Deep Tech Week\nFrom 9
  to 13 March 2020\, the all week will bring together the best in deep tech
  in order to start building solutions for the future. Events\, debates\,
