DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Breast Cancer E
 ra of Hope Scholar Awards. These Awards will support individuals early in 
 their careers who have demonstrated significant potential to effect meanin
 gful change in breast cancer. These individuals should be exceptionally ta
 lented scientists who have shown that they are the “best and brightest
 ” in their field(s) through extraordinary creativity\, vision\, innovati
 on\, and productivity.\n\nExperience in breast cancer research is not requ
 ired\; however\, the application must focus on breast cancer. Individuals 
 from other disciplines who will apply novel concepts to breast cancer are 
 also encouraged to submit.\n\nConsidering the current breast cancer landsc
 ape and the BCRP’s mission\, all FY20 BCRP Era of Hope Scholar Award app
 lications must address at least one of the overarching challenges for FY20
 \, which are listed at the end of this announcement.\n\nFunding:

 licants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to a
 pply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Applicants must be indep
 endent investigators no more than 6 years past their last training positio
 n.\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platf
 orm. They should contain contact information\, a letter of intent\, collab
 orators and key personnel\, and a list of potential references as suggeste
 d on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made via a Gr
