DESCRIPTION:Gebert Rüf Stiftung (GRS) was established in 1998 by entrepre
 neur Heinrich Gebert as a science and innovation foundation. Its objective
  is to promote «Switzerland as a top location for business and as a place
  to live». As a private funding agency guided by its mission statement «
 making science effective»\, it supports entrepreneurial projects\, which 
 are committed to achieving an impact.\n\nGRS Digital Education Pioneers fu
 nding programme is endowed with CHF 0.5 million per year to contribute to 
 create the “school of the future”.\n\nIt supports the implementation o
 f pioneering projects at primary and lower secondary schools that provide 
 access to high-quality digital educational videos and digital tools that s
 upport interactions among teachers and between teachers and students: coll
 aborative teaching and learning\, skills acquisition\, and knowledge proce
 ssing in interactions (reverse teaching).\n\nThis area of activity helps p
 ioneering and  potentially scalable digital learning and teaching arrange
 ments achieve a breakthrough.\n\nDigital educational content must meet the
  following requirements:\n\n	Open education\n	Relevant content/quality\n	A
 ll kinds of educational video\, including experiments\n	Interactivity (e.g
 . with a quiz).\n\n\nWho can apply: applicants from Swiss Institutions of 
 higher education or research centres and non-profit organisations are elig
 ible to apply\, however projects must be either led by teachers from prima
 ry or lower secondary school or involve them.\n\nApplication: \n\n\n	pleas
 e fill out the application form.\n	join\, among others\, a letter of suppo
 rt from a suitable number of schools and education authorities\, regarding
  the implementation and potential scalability of the project.\n	Non indepe
 ndent researchers at EPFL must join a Letter of Support from the Head of t
 heir Unit.\n\n\nFunding: no upper or lower limit.\n\n\n	Eligible costs: Sa
 laries and Material costs\n	Does NOT cover: Infrastructure\, Equipment and
  Overheads.\n\n\nDeadlines:\n\n\n	Informal Access: submit a 1-2 page abstr
 act to idee@grstiftung.ch well ahead of the deadline for proposals.\n	Prop
 osal: 1 February\, 1 May\, 1 September and 1 December (every year) at 23:5
